Mr. Burwell has been the President, Chief Financial Officer of Redwood Mortgage Corp. (Manager of Redwood Mortgage Investors IX, LLC), a general partner of Redwood Mortgage Investors VIII since 1979 and its Principal Accounting Officer since 1986. He serves as Secretary, Treasurer and Principal Accounting Officer of Redwood Mortgage Corp., the manager of Redwood Mortgage Investors IX, LLC. Mr. Burwell also serves as Treasurer and Secretary of Redwood Mortgage Corp. He has been Secretary and Treasurer of A & B Financial Services, Inc. since 1980. He has been President, Secretary and Treasurer of Redwood Group, Ltd. since 1979. He served as a Principal Executive Officer of Gymno Corporation, the manager of Redwood Mortgage Investors IX, LLC and general partner of (Redwood Mortgage Investors VI, Redwood Mortgage Investors VII, Redwood Mortgage Investors VIII). He served Principal Financial Officer, President and Secretary of Gymno Corporation, the manager of Redwood Mortgage Investors IX, LLC from 1986 to September 2011 and served as its Treasurer.
He has been a Director of Redwood Mortgage Corp., the manager of Redwood Mortgage Investors IX, LLC since 1979. He has been Director of The Redwood Group, Ltd. since 1979. He served as a Director of Gymno Corporation, the manager of Redwood Mortgage Investors IX, LLC from 1986 to 2011. He served as Member of Board of Trustees and Treasurer, Mortgage Brokers Institute from 1984 to 1986. He is licensed as a Real Estate Sales Person. Mr. Burwell attended the University of California, at Davis from 1975 to 1979, playing NCAA soccer for three seasons. He is a panelist and has presented on numerous real estate lending topics.
